Hollywood with my girls

Boy did we all need and enjoy this trip!

The Universal Studios trip was for Selina’s 16th birthday. She loves Harry Potter so this was the undoubted destination for my two daughters and my best friend Jen! Mind you, Selina spent all of her money on Harry Potter memorabilia, just in case you didn’t have a complete view of her obsession!

A definite girls trip, we had to get the scoop on all the behind-the-scenes gossip so we splurged on the VIP Experience at Universal Studios – it was so worth it! We didn’t have to wait in long lines, they provided us with an incredible lunch, and we received an extensive backlot tour of the studios!

In addition to shopping and enjoying the gorgeous W Hollywood’s rooftop patio every day, we got to stroll through Hollywood! Yes, my Instagram photo was photoshopped, and no, I don’t have a Hollywood star… yet!

To top off our weeklong getaway, we visited BOA in Beverly Hills and were treated to an exquisite experience! “Quite simply one of the best steaks in America,” I read before our visit. None of us doubt that one bit anymore. It’s one of my favourites!

Each of us had an incredible time in California! We’re pretty certain this needs to be an annual thing, and with Sarah’s 16th coming up next year, who knows, we might end up taking a bite out of the big apple!
